Wow dude, you've got some serious skills. Did you mod the lighting and all later in Photoshop or is the composition as is when you took the pictures? I am not even a newbie when it comes to photography so please do not find my innocuous wonderment offensive :)

Love the pictures. Totally. It makes me happy to think so many Indians took time off for this celebration. But... is song and dance and good food all that there is to Independence day...? And is celebrating Independence/Republic Day all there is left to being Indian? It has always mad me sad and also a little worried...

Again, nice pictures, see you soon!

...the stage was well lit:)...had to compromise with the shutter speed to use all the available light.

True selma. I guess this had been true to history in general that, behind every celebration there being many sacrifices, people celebrate just for the reason of it and not for an occasion of remembering.

But, any active thought and effort towards this remebrance, is all that is needed to keep the baton moving. I hope that is what this event was intended to be.
